Oral History and Community - risks, challenges and rewards

  • Museo Italiano 199 Faraday Street Carlton, VIC, 3053 Australia (map)

This is a collaborative event between the Professional Historians Association (Victoria & Tasmania) and Oral History Australia (Victoria) for the Australian Heritage Festival 2019.

Come along and hear four experienced historians explore oral history in the context of community histories. Jessica Ferrari, Michael Green, Nikki Henningham, and Sarah Rood explore some of the risks, challenges and rewards of oral history when working with communities.

Listen to our panel of experienced oral historians and hear how they have balanced the demands of oral history with the needs of the communities they have worked alongside.
